Mr. Carrington started his career as a securities litigator at Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, he represented public companies and some of the largest private investment firms in the country in "bet the company" litigation against the government and private individuals. As a corporate litigator, Mr. Carrington became fluent in corporate accounting and internal investigations of complex businesses.
As a family lawyer, Mr. Carrington is able to use the knowledge from his prior practice to provide sophisticated advice to business owners regarding their potential areas of exposure in a divorce. Conversely, Mr. Carrington is able to use the same knowledge base to advise spouses of business owners when and if the whole story is not being revealed to them in the divorce proceedings.
Mr. Carrington also developed a long-standing practice related to the defense of prominent individuals and organizations that are being threatened with catastrophic reputational damage by a third party. Mr. Carrington's skill set, particularly his experience with crisis management in such situations, is drawn upon regularly in the defense of high net worth individuals and families in divorce litigation.
